Witchcraft 101: Saintcraft

Join us for a workshop where we will explore the age old use of Catholic Saints and iconology within folk magic traditions throughout the world.

As a practitioner, Dakota will be focusing specifically on the veneration of saints within Hoodoo and Stregheria, as well as key differences in how we “work with” these spirits as opposed to worshipping or beseeching them.

We’ll be exploring the Saints, who they are, where they come from, why they matter and what they can do for you - from patronage, hagiography and the Vatican II to correspondences, offerings and feast days.

This isn't just a history lesson, we'll mainly focus on building altars, identifying the Saint's attributes, understanding how and when to make offerings and utilizing charms and spells incorporating some of the most powerful and iconic saints.

Come one, come all - the Saints are open to everyone.

Dakota is a queer, non-binary, disabled femme - an Aries Sun, Libra Moon, Gemini Rising, and one of Brooklyn’s premier witches, diviners and spiritual workers.
